Hi! I'm Alicia, born and raised in Tokyo. I absolutely loved my life in Japan, but when I was 14, I made a life-changing decision to study in the U.K. It wasn't always easy to live so far away from my family, but the experience has been priceless - I have widened my perspectives, met more people, and learned languages and cultures other than my own.

After having discovered a lot about different countries, I found a new passion and decided to go back to my roots: I want to teach my own culture and language and want others to appreciate it!

My experience as a Japanese tutor has been pure bliss. I have taught over 45 students, including beginners, uni students, kids and mature students. I have also accommodated many students with learning needs, such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia. The most fulfilling part of my job is that I can make Japanese understandable by explaining it logically. I am very patient, friendly and welcoming - exactly how you wish your tutor to be.
